What is the "First Chair" Plan?:
Do you have a student who is ready to make the next step? Someone who has enjoyed some success with music, but has been playing on the same instrument they played on as a 4th or 5th grader? The "First Chair" Plan is the perfect way to get that special someone a more advanced instrument, without having to put up the considerable investment up front! You can have your child playing on a high-quality instrument that should take them up to, through, and beyond their high school experience for only $159 or $259 per month.
Why don't you list any brand or model names for these instruments?
Due to agreements we have with certain manufacturers, we are unable to advertise certain brands and prices on the internet. To be fair, we have decided not to show any brand or model names. Don't worry, if you have any questions about what models and brands we include on our first chair plan, simply send us an email or call us at (800) 637-6872.
Do you offer Maintenance Coverage on these instruments?
Yes! We offer the same fantastic Maintenance & Replacement Coverage (which covers the instrument for any and all repairs to keep your instrument in perfect playing condition, regardless of extent or frequency) that we have for our other rental programs. It will also cover replacement of your instrument if it is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair. Free pick-up and delivery to your school is included on a regularly scheduled basis, and whenever possible, we will provide you with a working loaner instrument while yours is in for repairs. Best of all, this peace of mind is only $6 per month, and it's included in your monthly rate!
Can I Return a "First Chair" Instrument?
Although returns of a "First Chair" Instrument are very rare, it is a rental / purchase plan, so you are free at any time to return the instrument to us and owe no further payments.
Are there any Interest Charges?
We charge below-market financing (9.9% APR) for the "First Chair" Plan. If you decide at any time to pay off the balance of your instrument, we will deduct whatever percentage of that finance charge is remaining from the total.
Once I purchase the instrument, can I still get an Extended Maintenance Plan?
Yes! At the time of purchasing any of our "First Chair" instruments, you have the option of purchasing an Extended Maintenance Agreement (EMA) for your instrument. EMA's are a continuation of our fantastic Maintenance coverage you had while renting. We will continue to cover your instrument for any and all necessary repairs to keep it in perfect playing condition (you will want to cover your instrument under your homeowners insurance plan for replacement if it's lost or stolen).
