The First Annual Michiana Outstanding Music Educator Awards were presented on July 9th at a special luncheon. This year's special guest speaker was Charles Menghini, President and Director of Bands at VanderCook College of Music.

Music Educator awards which were were established in 1989, the Michiana Outstanding Music Educator Awards are a tribute
to professional music
educators from the area. Each year we solicit
nominations from the readership of our newsletter, Quarter
Notes. Once collected they are sent to our selection
committee for selection. Each year, our selection committee will grow as previous recipients join the committee. |
