Doug was a middle school and high school band director for 10 years. He then took a job with the Tom Berry Music Co. of Ft Wayne. Through various acquisitions, he worked for Paige's Music and Blessing Music. With 3 other co-workers, he became an owner of Blessings Music Company.

Doug's wife, Linda, is also a music graduate of Butler and has a Masters in Elementary Education. She is retired from public school teaching, but is currently a professor at Ivy Tech Community College and also assists with displays.
Since Doug lives on a small lake, his favorite hobby is fishing.

Percussion

19 years retail experience (15 in Music Retail)

I Marched with The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps 1990-1993. Percussion, Color Guard, and Drum Major (DCI World Champions 1992)
I Also, occasionally, consult with local marching bands. Hold Drum Major workshops, and sometimes judge for local marching competitions.

Golf! If the weather is above 50 degrees, and it’s “relatively” dry, I’ll be at the golf course. I also enjoy travel, and Family.

Percussion & Piano

I have worked different customer service jobs since I was 16. I also worked with a marching band for a few seasons as a percussion instructor. I have been with Blessing Music for 3 years.

The only thing I have time for is repairs and improvements on the house my husband and I purchased a year ago. I also enjoy training my dog and other peoples dogs.

I took piano lesions on a cardboard keyboard in 3rd grade, I sang in my college choir (I sang whatever part the person next to me was singing) and I do play the radio especially well.

I love to sew. I made wedding dresses for two of my daughters - hopefully I will make another one in the near future. Machine embroidery and quilting are special favorites.
