Consider this: A world where every orchestra student in our schools has a bow capable of playing to the highest standard any orchestral literature on their music stand. Such a bow exists and is now available exclusively through Quinlan & Fabish!
CodaBow and Quinlan & Fabish Music Company is proud to announce the arrival of the QF Custom NX. This bow combines the talents of Jeff Van Fossen, co-creator of the CodaBow and former aero-space engineer, with the experience and talent of Paul Phillips, first violinist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The QF Custom NX bow is made of aero-space grade carbon fiber and advanced materials, with attention to the weight distribution suitable for a first violinist of the Chicago Symphony both in playability and tonal expression.
Our mission for Paul Phillips and Jeff Van Fossenwas to tailor a bow that we could highly recommend not only to advancing students, but also to serious players. However, we needed a bow that would be affordable. By subtly adapting the standard NX design, CodaBow met these needs and created the QF Custom NX.
Paul used the custom NX bow on stage at Ravinia last summer. He shared that the final version made it to the concert stage because it not only had the playability but the tonal capability for concert use professionally. Paul commented, “I like the way it made my violin sound!” Paul also says that the QF Custom Coda NX bow “ draws a big sound, has a great feel in the hand, is easy to control, and hugs the string”.
The QF Custom NX is available at the same price as a regular CodaBow NX. “By tailoring the balance of our standard NX to Q&F’s specific needs,” Jeff explains, “We have created a custom design offering distinctive performance and outstanding player value.” Designed and crafted to provide a lifetime of playing pleasure, this bow comes with CodaBow’s unrivalled 10-year warranty
This new bow is cost effective and significantly elevates students’ learning potential The sooner a player gets a bow in their hand which can make the difference, the faster the student will experience the success of playing with more accuracy and control. There is nothing better than finding out that you CAN do something. This bow will do that!
