Aaron Krueger
Guitar
Aaron has been teaching guitar lessons for over 13 years in the Chicago suburban area on electric and acoustic guitars. His students range in age from 5 to adult and in levels from beginner to professional. Aaron also has experience working with students with special needs. Aaron teaches several musical styles including jazz, Latin (bossa nova), blues, and rock. Aaron also teaches techniques for solo guitar, duo, trio and big band. Aaron received a Bachelor in Arts degree (jazz guitar performance) from Columbia College Chicago. While attending Columbia College he studied jazz guitar with Frank Dawson. Aaron also has studied with John Papadolias and Don Tisch.
Aaron is currently appearing with several groups: Swing Assembly, a 12 piece big band playing wedding, corporate, and restaurants (Swing Assembly plays all styles of music); Pete Ellman Big band (an 18 piece jazz big band), Anomalous Visage, a 7 piece band that plays original music only; and on Sundays he performs with a trio at St. Marks Lutheran Church playing contemporary Christian Music. Aaron also plays solo jazz guitar gigs, duo (guitar/sax, bass, guitar, voice), trio (guitar/drums/bass,guitar/bass/horn), quartets, and quintets. Notable places that Aaron has performed are Andy’s Jazz Club (Chicago), Jazz Showcase (Chicago), Vicenza and Venice, Italy (for an international jazz festival) and Unity Temple (in Oak Park).
